TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 1
THE KING JAMES BIBLE: INSPIRATION, PRESERVATION AND FINAL WRITTEN
AUTHORITY
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
This Grace Bible Churches holds, accepts, affirms, and truly believes that God inspired His Word and preserved His
Word. TGBC receives the King James Bible, Authorized Version of 1611 in its standardized 1769 textual tradition and
Pure Cambridge Edition text form, as its official Bible and final written authority for faith, doctrine, conduct, assembly
order, teaching, preaching, and ministry.
INSPIRATION
Inspiration belongs to God and His Word. Scripture is not treated merely as religious literature or human opinion. Because
Scripture is given by inspiration of God, it is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness.
PRESERVATION
TGBC joins its confession of inspiration with the confession that God preserved His words. The assembly therefore
approaches the Bible with confidence rather than treating the text as an authority that must be reconstructed by
ecclesiastical tradition or human preference.
FINAL WRITTEN AUTHORITY
No creed, constitution, bishop, elder, council, tradition, commentary, translation committee, doctrinal paper, or
administrative policy stands above the Word of God. TGBC governing documents are subordinate instruments and must
be interpreted consistently with Scripture.
ENGLISH BIBLE HERITAGE
Within TGBC teaching, the English Bible heritage associated with the Reformation-era line of Tyndale, Coverdale,
Matthew, Great, Geneva, Bishops', and the King James Bible may be studied as part of the historical discussion of
preservation. The doctrinal authority used by TGBC itself remains the King James Bible identified above.
CONCLUSION
TGBC therefore teaches from, quotes from, and settles its written doctrinal determinations by the King James Bible.
KEY KJB SCRIPTURES
2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJB
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
Psalm 12:6-7 KJB
“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt
keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”
Isaiah 46:10 KJB - Scripture reference for study.
Matthew 24:35 KJB - Scripture reference for study.

TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 2
THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST AND SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
The Gospel proclaimed by TGBC for salvation today is the Gospel of Christ declared by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians
15:1-4: Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, He was buried, and He rose again the third day according to the
scriptures.
GRACE
Salvation is the gift of God and is not obtained by religious works, ceremonies, law-keeping, water baptism, church
membership, giving, personal merit, or human achievement.
FAITH
The sinner is justified by God's grace through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Faith does not become
another work by which a person earns salvation; it receives what Christ accomplished.
FINISHED WORK
TGBC directs the sinner to Christ's death for sins, burial, and resurrection rather than to an institution or sacramental
system as the ground of acceptance with God.
ASSURANCE
The believer's confidence rests in God's grace and the sufficiency of Christ's work rather than in the believer's ability to
establish personal righteousness.
CONCLUSION
TGBC shall faithfully proclaim this Gospel and shall not substitute another message, ritual, institutional requirement, or
work of man for the saving work of Christ.
KEY KJB SCRIPTURES
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJB
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and
wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have
believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins
according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the
scriptures:”
Ephesians 2:8-9 KJB
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any
man should boast.”
Romans 3:24-26 KJB - Scripture reference for study.
Romans 4:5 KJB - Scripture reference for study.

TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 3
RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
All Scripture is inspired and profitable, but Scripture must be rightly divided. TGBC rejects the idea that every command
given to every people in every biblical setting is directly imposed upon the Body of Christ in the same manner.
ALL SCRIPTURE
Right division does not discard portions of the Bible. The whole Bible is the Word of God and is profitable. Right division
seeks to recognize distinctions God Himself makes concerning people, promises, covenants, administrations, instructions,
and purposes.
APPLICATION
TGBC distinguishes between what Scripture records for learning and what God specifically gives as present doctrinal
instruction for the Body of Christ.
PAULINE PATTERN
The distinctive apostleship and writings of Paul are central to understanding God's present dispensation and the revelation
of the Mystery.
CONCLUSION
Right division is therefore a governing principle of TGBC Bible study, teaching, preaching, and doctrinal determination.
KEY KJB SCRIPTURES
2 Timothy 2:15 KJB
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word
of truth.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJB
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 4
THE DISTINCTIVE APOSTLESHIP OF PAUL AND THE DISPENSATION OF THE GRACE OF
GOD
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
TGBC recognizes the distinctive apostleship and ministry of the Apostle Paul to the Gentiles and the revelation committed
to him concerning the present Dispensation of the Grace of God.
REVELATION
Paul states that the gospel he preached was not received of man but by revelation of Jesus Christ. TGBC therefore treats
the Pauline revelation as doctrinally significant rather than merely a repetition of Israel's prophetic program.
DISPENSATION
Ephesians 3 identifies the dispensation of the grace of God and the Mystery made known by revelation. TGBC uses this
Pauline framework to understand God's present dealings with the Body of Christ.
PATTERN
Paul's salvation and ministry display the exceeding abundant grace of the Lord and provide a pattern connected with those
who should afterward believe.
CONCLUSION
TGBC shall teach Paul's distinctive apostleship without diminishing the inspiration or profit of the rest of Scripture.
KEY KJB SCRIPTURES
Romans 11:13 KJB
“For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:”
Ephesians 3:1-9 KJB - Scripture reference for study.
Galatians 1:11-12 KJB - Scripture reference for study.

TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 5
THE REVELATION OF THE MYSTERY
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
TGBC teaches the revelation of the Mystery as a central Pauline doctrine. The Mystery was kept secret and later made
manifest according to God's revelation.
DISTINCTION
TGBC distinguishes the Mystery from those things God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets since the world began.
This distinction is essential to the assembly's understanding of prophecy and mystery.
CONTENT
The Mystery concerns God's present purpose in Christ and the Body of Christ, including the one Body and the riches
made known among the Gentiles.
STABLISHING
Romans 16 connects the believer's stablishing with Paul's gospel, the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation
of the Mystery, and the Scriptures.
CONCLUSION
TGBC shall preserve the Mystery as revealed doctrine and shall not merge it into Israel's prophetic Kingdom program.
KEY KJB SCRIPTURES
Romans 16:25-26 KJB
“Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according
to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by
the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations
for the obedience of faith:”

TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 6
ISRAEL AND THE CHURCH, THE BODY OF CHRIST
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
TGBC maintains a doctrinal distinction between Israel's prophetic program and the Church, the Body of Christ.
ISRAEL
Israel possesses a scriptural identity and prophetic history that should not be erased by transferring every promise and
prophetic designation to the Body of Christ.
THE BODY
The Body of Christ is identified as one Body under Christ its Head. Believers are baptized by one Spirit into one Body.
NO REPLACEMENT FRAMEWORK
TGBC does not teach that the Body of Christ is a continuation, restoration, institutional extension, or replacement of
Israel's prophetic Kingdom program.
CONCLUSION
Recognizing these distinctions permits Scripture concerning Israel and Scripture concerning the Body of Christ to be read
according to their God-given contexts.
KEY KJB SCRIPTURES
Romans 9:3-5 KJB - Scripture reference for study.
Romans 11:1-2 KJB - Scripture reference for study.
1 Corinthians 12:13 KJB - Scripture reference for study.

TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 7
THE ONE BODY, THE ONE NEW MAN, AND THE NEW CREATURE
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
TGBC describes the present Body of Christ in Pauline terms: one Body, one new man, and new creature.
ONE NEW MAN
Ephesians 2 teaches that Christ made of twain one new man and reconciled both unto God in one body by the cross.
NEW CREATURE
In Christ, the believer is a new creature. TGBC therefore emphasizes the new identity created in Christ rather than
defining the Body through Israel's national covenant identity.
UNITY
There is one Body. The unity of the Body is grounded in Christ and God's work, not in denominational succession or
institutional uniformity.
CONCLUSION
TGBC's ecclesiastical identity shall reflect this Pauline description of the Body of Christ.
KEY KJB SCRIPTURES
Ephesians 2:14-16 KJB
“For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in
himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the
cross, having slain the enmity thereby:”
Ephesians 4:4 KJB - Scripture reference for study.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJB
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are
become new.”
Galatians 6:15 KJB - Scripture reference for study.

TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 8
WATER BAPTISM AND THE BODY OF CHRIST
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
TGBC does not recognize water baptism as a required ordinance for salvation, membership in the Body of Christ, or
participation in TGBC fellowship.
PAUL'S COMMISSION
Paul's statement that Christ sent him not to baptize but to preach the gospel is treated by TGBC as significant when
distinguishing his apostolic ministry.
ONE BAPTISM
Ephesians 4 declares one baptism in the unity of the Spirit. TGBC understands the Spirit's work of placing believers into
the one Body as the baptism governing the Body of Christ.
NO SAVING RITE
Water cannot add to the finished work of Christ or become a condition by which grace is earned.
CONCLUSION
TGBC may study biblical water baptisms as inspired Scripture while refusing to impose water baptism as a required
ordinance upon the Body of Christ.
KEY KJB SCRIPTURES
1 Corinthians 1:17 KJB
“For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ
should be made of none effect.”
1 Corinthians 12:13 KJB - Scripture reference for study.
Ephesians 4:4-6 KJB
“There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one
baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
Colossians 2:10-12 KJB - Scripture reference for study.

TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 9
THE LORD'S SUPPER AND REQUIRED ORDINANCES
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
TGBC does not recognize observance of the Lord's Supper as a required ordinance imposed upon the Body of Christ as a
condition of salvation, standing, membership, or fellowship.
STUDY OF THE PASSAGES
TGBC receives the passages concerning eating, drinking, remembrance, fellowship, and assembly conduct as inspired
Scripture and studies them in their context under right division.
NO SACRAMENTAL MERIT
No meal, element, ceremony, or ecclesiastical administration imparts salvation or adds merit to the finished work of
Christ.
LIBERTY AND ORDER
Questions of practice are to be handled without turning outward observance into a saving work or a basis for boasting.
CONCLUSION
TGBC shall preserve salvation by grace and shall not make ceremonial observance a requirement for acceptance in the
Body of Christ.

TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 10
THE CATCHING AWAY OF THE BODY OF CHRIST AND THE PROPHETIC RETURN OF
CHRIST
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
TGBC distinguishes the catching away of the Body of Christ from the prophetic return of Christ connected with the things
spoken by the prophets concerning Israel and the nations.
CATCHING AWAY
Paul reveals that the dead in Christ shall rise first and living believers shall be caught up together with them to meet the
Lord in the air.
CHANGE
Paul also reveals a mystery concerning the change of the living and the resurrection of the dead in Christ.
PROPHETIC PROGRAM
Acts 3 speaks of restitution of all things spoken by the prophets since the world began. TGBC distinguishes that prophetic
framework from the Mystery revealed through Paul.
CONCLUSION
TGBC teaches these events according to the distinctions established by right division and avoids collapsing prophecy and
Mystery into one undifferentiated program.

TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 11
ECCLESIASTICAL OFFICES: BISHOP AND DEACON
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
TGBC recognizes the biblical ecclesiastical offices of Bishop and Deacon. TGBC does not establish Pastor as a separate
ecclesiastical office.
BISHOP
A Bishop must be examined according to the Pauline qualifications and must be able to hold fast the faithful word, teach
sound doctrine, oversee responsibly, and maintain a blameless testimony appropriate to the office.
DEACON
A Deacon must likewise be proved and meet the Pauline qualifications for faithful service.
ORDINATION
Ordination recognizes demonstrated qualification; it does not manufacture spiritual qualification, impart salvation, or
confer apostolic succession.
ELDERS
Within TGBC, participation in the Circle of the Elders is an ecclesiastical governing designation and does not create a
third ordained office beyond Bishop and Deacon.
CONCLUSION
Office exists for orderly ministry and edification of the Body rather than personal status or unlimited authority.

TGBC DOCTRINAL POSITION PAPER 12
THE 'HUSBAND OF ONE WIFE' QUALIFICATION
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
TGBC understands the phrase 'husband of one wife' within the complete Pauline qualifications for ecclesiastical office
and does not treat a bare history of divorce or remarriage as an automatic, universal disqualification without examination
of the man, his present conduct, doctrine, household, testimony, and circumstances.
EXAMINATION
Candidates are to be proved rather than approved merely by popularity, family relationship, financial standing, length of
attendance, or desire for a title.
PRESENT QUALIFICATION
The qualification must be considered together with blamelessness, vigilance, sobriety, good behaviour, hospitality, ability
to teach where applicable, household rule, maturity, and good report.
CARE AND EVIDENCE
Accusations and questions of qualification should be handled carefully and according to Scripture, distinguishing serious
disqualifying conduct from ordinary human imperfection, correctable error, or circumstances that do not establish present
unfitness.
CONCLUSION
TGBC requires careful Pauline examination of each candidate and retains the fuller Bishop and Deacon Qualifications and
Ordination Manual as the controlling companion document for credentialing procedures.
KEY KJB SCRIPTURES
1 Timothy 3:2 KJB
“A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to
hospitality, apt to teach;”

THE DISTINCT ECCLESIASTICAL IDENTITY OF THIS GRACE BIBLE CHURCHES
Authority: King James Bible (KJB)
POSITION
This Grace Bible Churches is established as a Pauline Dispensational Assembly around the Gospel of Christ, the
revelation of the Mystery, the one Body, the one new man, the new creature, salvation by grace through faith, and the
command to rightly divide the Word of Truth.
NOT DENOMINATIONAL SUCCESSION
TGBC is not established as a denominational succession or as an institutional continuation of Israel's prophetic Kingdom
program.
RELIGIOUS TERMINOLOGY
TGBC's authored doctrinal language identifies believers according to Pauline descriptions such as the Body of Christ, one
new man, and new creature. This terminology is intended to preserve TGBC's stated doctrinal distinction.
TREATMENT OF OTHERS
Doctrinal distinction concerns programs, doctrine, identity, and religious systems. It is not a declaration that every
individual associated with another religious system is personally evil or unsaved.
CONCLUSION
TGBC shall preserve its distinct identity while teaching the Word of God with clarity, order, and fidelity to its adopted
doctrinal framework.
