FELLOWSHIP AND RECOGNITION
Autonomous local assemblies
Voluntary fellowship through shared doctrine, orderly recognition, and the TGBC assembly agreement.
Local ministry and shared identity
Local assemblies may meet in homes, rented facilities, private facilities, or other lawful locations. Affiliation is based on agreement with TGBC’s foundational doctrine and acceptance of the applicable ecclesiastical governing documents.
Assemblies conduct their ordinary local ministry and practical affairs under their agreement. Recognition alone does not transfer locally held property to TGBC. Local expenses, leases, accounts, contracts, and obligations remain local responsibilities unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise.
Affiliation authorizes use of the TGBC identity while recognition remains in effect. An assembly may withdraw by written notice according to its agreement. Shared doctrinal accountability and credentialing remain governed by the TGBC instruments.
The recognition process
- Review the doctrine and governing documents.
Read the statement of faith, constitution, and assembly agreement with the local leadership.
- Discuss the proposed affiliation.
Contact the Founding Bishop with the assembly name, location, responsible leadership, and primary contact.
- Complete examination and the agreement.
Recognition follows the applicable ecclesiastical review, written approval, and execution of the assembly agreement.
- Retain the permanent record.
Keep the executed agreement, recognition record, leadership information, and any issued certificate.
